【参加助成公募】World Congress of Malacology 2022 Munich

日本貝類学会員のみなさま，
Unitas Malacologica（UM）は、日本貝類学会を含む世界19の学協会が加盟する、軟体動物学に関する国際学会です。UMでは、2022年8月1日から5日にドイツ・ミュンヘンにてWorld Congress of Malacology（WCM 2022）を対面形式で開催します。これに伴い下記Travel Grantsの公募を開始しましたので、奮ってご応募ください。募集締め切りは2022年1月10日です。なお、本助成は日本貝類学会による渡航助成（後日通知）とは別物ですのでご注意下さい。

応募はUM個人会員（学生とその他若手）に限られます。学生会費は24 euro / 3 yrsで、入会手続きは下記リンク先に記載の通りです。会費送金等に時間を要する可能性がありますので、余裕をもってお手続き下さい。

WCM 2022の参加及び開催詳細について： UM個人会員はWCM参加費も割引となります（過去の一部大会では加盟学協会員に対しても同様の割引を行いましたが、今回はUM個人会員のみを割引対象とさせて頂きます）。また、参加申込の早期割引は1月31日まで、講演要旨締切は4月15日、参加申込の最終締切は6月15日です。ドイツ入国にはコロナウイルスワクチンの接種完了が求められていますのでご注意下さい。なお2022年4月時点でWCM実施が困難であると判断された場合、開催を2023年に延期する可能性があります。大会の詳細は下記をご参照下さい。

Travel Grants for WCM 2022
Unitas Malacologica has been supporting student research since 2000. Applications for the 2022 Unitas Malacologica Travel Grant to attend the World Congress of Malacology in Munich, Germany from 1-5 August, 2022 are now open. We aim to support around 15 students or other early-career researchers who will present at the Congress but require financial support to be able to attend it. Awards of up to 1500 euro will be made to applicants outside of Europe. Because it is expected that applicants within Europe will incur lower travel costs, awards to individuals traveling from within Europe are not expected to be greater than 1000 euro. Depending on the number of applications received, we may not be able to fully fund all applications selected for support. One letter of recommendation from the applicant's research mentor should be sent directly to Dr. Yasunori Kano (kano@aori.u-tokyo.ac.jp). The deadline for submission of the form and required letter of recommendation is 10 January 2022. Travel grants from UM are for the actual expenses related to attending WCM (transport, accommodation and registration) only, and may not be put toward any other use. Grants are conditional on being present and giving a presentation at WCM 2022. Failing to present would lead to restitution of the money to UM. Non-members are not eligible for this grant.
